![]() Rocktropolis is a music rhythm game similar to Guitar Hero®. It was created in a 10 week period by a team of 4 programmers for a 2D Game Design class. It was developed in both C++/DirectX and C#/XNA in parallel and also runs on the XBox360. The game is compatible (and best played) with a Guitar Controller. Responsibilities included: Engine Architecture and Implementation, Graphics Engine, Gameplay, Data Design. It debuted at GDC 2007 just a week after completion. I wrote a high score list on the plane to San Francisco so that when Harmonix played it, they could grace the top of the list. We had a great number of people try it out, thanks to everyone who played it and gave us some great feedback! More info - http://games.rit.edu/node/113 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() February 2006

I wrote this while I was 13 years old, between the summer of 7th and 8th grade. It is written in BASIC (the first programming language I learned). I loved every minute of coding this game. I ended up stopping this project when I realized the limitations of BASIC, and moved on to learn other languages. Although, looking back, I am very impressed with what I created with such little experience and in such a constraining language. ![]() ![]() ![]() [ Download (206KB) ] 1997
